THIS MONTH'S ISSUE FEATURES:
EA Revises Its EA Course/School
The Evolutionary Astrology Network announces a major revision to its Evolutionary Astrology
Course/School featuring the Jeffrey Wolf Green method. Registered students will now be able to
attain three levels of certification in Evolutionary Astrology as follows:
Segment I – Philosophy, Archetypes & the Individual
Segment II – Relationships, Sexuality, Synastry & Composite
Segment III – Health & Wellness (“medical astrology”)
Upon certification of each segment of the Course graduates will be listed on the upcoming revisions to
the EAN website at www.evolutionaryastrology.net, and may feature articles there. New graduates may
apply to speak at future EAN Conferences held periodically at various locations across North America.
Each segment must be complete in consecutive order. Each segment’s homework has also been readjusted in
a more logical, comprehensive, building block manner. The homework consists of various assignments and
chart interpretations, which are reviewed by Kim Marie (Director of EAN) and assistants via phone and
email. All studies are done at the student’s own pace and self-motivation. The average completion time
for homework is one year per segment, although there are no time limits.
Now here’s the best part. Each segment of the newly revised EA Course/School is priced at only $500 USD
(plus shipping/handling) per segment! This means a new EA student can begin their certification process
for a $500 investment. Segments I & II are also offered with one or two sets of DVDs – the last live
School taught by JWG and/or Kim Marie’s 2006 Schools. Segment III will be offered as a live School in
Spring, 2008.
If you are interested in the new EA Course flyers, you may download them by clicking here, or visiting
this link at www.evolutionaryastrology.net.
You may also request an actual DVD sample to be mailed to you by
clicking here.
Please share this
information with anyone you know who may be interested in Evolutionary Astrology. EAN has lots of great
changes planned for 2007 – stay tuned through this newsletter, and pass it along!!
EAN Interview with Rose Marcus
Rose Marcus is the Director for the Canadian JWG School of Evolutionary Astrology, which is based
in Vancouver, BC. (now in it’s 4th year.) She maintains a busy consultation practice and teaching
schedule, and is the Canada Astrologer for SELF magazine. Among her various writing projects, Rose
is the coordinator for a soon to be published book on Evolutionary Astrology, co-authored with
colleagues. In addition to her astrological services, Rose also offers herself in service as a
clairvoyant and tarot reader. Contact Rose at www.rosemarcus.com, www.astrolink.com or
rose_marcus@shaw.ca.
The Evolutionary Astrology Network has started a new series of articles interviewing graduates of the
JWG School of Evolutionary Astrology/Correspondence Course. We will next hear from Rose Marcus, Director
of the Canadian JWG School of Evolutionary Astrology. It takes commitment and dedication to complete the
EA School/Course. EAN would like to network the graduates to recipients of this newsletter and inspire
those who desire to become Evolutionary Astrologers! EAN assistant Nina recently emailed Rose.
Nina: You are the current director of the JWG Evolutionary Astrology School in Canada. This must be a
challenging job that requires a lot of time, dedication, and devotion to Evolutionary Astrology. Can you
tell us how you approach teaching the EA School?
Rose: Teaching the EA School is a huge commitment, but it is one that I have embraced wholeheartedly. I
teach the school in two formats, as an intensive day program similar to the US schools, which serves well
for those attending from long distance, and as a weekly class, which is great for local students. This
latter format runs 30 weeks, from fall until spring. I am currently teaching my 4th School in Vancouver
(the weekly program) and am now accepting applications for the next school (evening program), which will
start in September 2007. While I follow closely along Jeffrey Wolf Green’s original curriculum, I also add
my own ideas and examples. New insights arrive continuously; my teaching evolves with each School. Both
the intensive day program and the weekly program have their merits; either way the personal processing is
a rich experience as we learn together through the sharing of personal insights and stories. I always find
it interesting to see how the groups come together; the connections that grow are absolutely fascinating
to witness.
Nina: When did you first become involved with Evolutionary Astrology? What inspired you to become a
professional astrologer?
Rose: It feels to me that “seeing through astrology” always been a part of my consciousness. I began
teaching myself the mathematics of astrology at the age of 16. As life unfolded, I had wandered into a few
different directions, but astrology was always in the background somewhere. I continued to skirt around my
astrological studies for many years prior to meeting with Jeffrey and his work. This was at a major life
turning point - a Pluto transit of course. I immediately “recognized” him. Suddenly I found what I thought
of as the missing keys and it was simply a natural evolution that we work together. I began hosting
workshops for Jeffrey here in Vancouver and shortly after he decided to teach his School program. The
Phoenix School and the Vancouver School ran pretty much concurrently (1994). Our Vancouver School came
from many different locations to study: Canada, US, and England. it was an extraordinary experience for
all. I feel a special bond to this group, we all do.
Nina: What are the most challenging aspects of teaching the Canadian EA School? How do you overcome those
challenges?
Rose: Keeping the pilot light lit for the serious student once the teaching portion of the school is
complete is always challenging. In order to keep things going strong, I have a website forum where
students can ask questions. I also teach additional classes and one-day workshops, and I will continue to
host other EA astrologers in Vancouver.
Nina: What advice do you have for those who desire to become a professional Evolutionary Astrologer?
What difficulties did you face in your own life in this respect?
Rose: Entering the profession of astrology is challenging to begin with, although I feel it is a more
viable career path today than it was even just a few years back, primarily due to the potentials provided
by internet exposure. It’s important to stay realistic about supporting yourself, as it takes a long time
to build up a career and a reputation. Multiple income sources are always wise. Like any self-employment,
you have to take practical steps to get yourself and your services known.
What difficulties did I face? I was already self-employed when I started my professional astrology career,
so I already had a flexible schedule while making the transition. I think it’s sometimes hard to be in the
everyday workforce while beginning an astrological practice, especially when you are so excited to share
that you have a hard time existing in any other world. Still, it can be a necessity. Personally, my biggest
personal challenge was that of being a single parent and raising two (Pluto in Scorpio) daughters while
also building my practice. It still continues to be a juggling act!
Nina: What other areas of the metaphysical field are you involved with that contribute to your capacity to
practice and teach EA?
Rose: I am also well known for my clairvoyant services, which includes the tarot. When I read for people in
this way, much of my Evolutionary Astrology training and understandings come through. I often “see” in
terms of archetypes and symbols, sometimes I see chart geometry and such. As with reading a chart, these
visions can strike deep cords for the client, and are a rewarding demonstration to me of how resonant the
EA message can be.
Nina: What are your current plans in the context of expanding your E.A practice? What are your plans for
the future?
Rose: I love working with clients and my practice seems to be expanding all the time. I write a monthly
column for my own website (www.astrolink.ca) and also write for a variety of other magazines and projects.
For the past couple of years I have been getting the EA message out via local television and radio in
greater frequency too.
I have coordinated a book with 8 of my colleagues, “Insights into EA”. This is a brilliant collection of
essays, which showcases the unique style of each of the authors. I’m very proud of the book, and once a
publisher is found, I plan to dive into the next collaborative project, which will focus on the nodes.
Personal book projects are also in my future plans.
In terms of expanding the teaching, I am currently promoting enrolment for the next Vancouver School, which
will start in September of 2007, and have scheduled a few one-day introductory EA workshops to spread the
word. I plan to add teleconference and web-cast classes in the next semester (fall 2007). May 10, I will
give a lecture for WSSA, followed by a one day workshop, may 12 (topic TBA shortly). In July, I will be
offering a 3 part teleconference on Chiron, hosted by Maurice Fernandez in July. At the end of October
2007, I’m looking forward to introducing Evolutionary Astrology to the SOTA conference in Toronto, run by
Donna Van Toen.
Nina: What can you share about your own experience relative to studying E.A that might help other students
overcome their own difficulties? Is there anything else you would like to share about EA?
Rose: My advice would be to take time to read, review and to feel your way along. I think the study of
Evolutionary Astrology can prompt a shamanic way of viewing and making connections. I had many magical
experiences while I was first studying – and the magic continues. My enthusiasm and excitement for EA
never waivers.
Nina: Thanks for your devotion to EA!

Sun in Aries Forecast
The solar month of Aries (March 20 – April 20) initiates the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere
and the annual rebirth of the zodiac. It marks another beginning in the spiraling circle of life and a
renewed cycle of our solar creative self-actualization process. Mars, the ruler of Aries, starts the solar
year with a burst of energy through aspects to Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune. Three planets change
directions this month: Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn. This will be one of those spring rebirths with activity
in many different directions all at once.
The Evolutionary Astrology mantra for Aries is: I initiate with consideration of others. Through the
natural law of polarity, any archetype is understood through its polar opposite energy. We know this as
light and dark, to separate and to return and masculine versus feminine forces for example. In astrology,
each of the 12 signs of the zodiac has its opposite sign on the wheel. For Aries this is Libra, and here
is the story of their dance together.
