Deva Green's Biography
Deva Green is the daughter of Jeffrey Wolf Green, and with that kind of inspiration it should come as no surprise that she has chosen to become a professional Evolutionary Astrologer in her own right. She has spent the past several years learning from her father and “studying like crazy” to make her dream a reality. An intuitive and accomplished astrologer despite her relative youth in “calendar years,” she has co-taught an Intro Workshop in Evolutionary Astrology with Kim Marie, Director of the Evolutionary Astrology Network, and lectured at the EA Conferences and the most recent NORWAC in Seattle. The Evolutionary Astrology Network continues its series of interviews with graduates of the JWG School of Evolutionary Astrology/Correspondence Course with Deva Green. It takes commitment and dedication to complete the EA School/Course. EAN would like to network the graduates to recipients of this newsletter and inspire those who desire to become Evolutionary Astrologers! EAN assistant Nina recently emailed Deva.

Nina - You have recently revealed your intentions to become a full time practicing astrologer. You have created a very solid foundation to begin such a career. You have lectured at two Evolutionary Astrology conferences (EAC05/06), created the Introductory Workshop with Kim Marie, and have also been invited to speak at the upcoming NORWAC 07 conference. What can you share about those experiences, and what is it like being a young astrologer?

Deva - I have been humbled by attending the EA conferences, and have been very touched by the motivation, support, and encouragement that I have received by the EA community. The more experience I have in the context of lecturing, teaching, and practicing counseling through the clients who want astrological readings, the more motivated and confident I feel that this is the career I want to create for the future.

Nina - How has EA personally inspired you, and how is it helpful in everyday life?

Deva - I grew up with a father who practiced Evolutionary Astrology full time. I experienced first hand the profound impact it had on all the clients, and those who read the “Pluto” material. As I grew up I became increasingly aware of the amazing depth of EA, and the true Soul growth that occurred for those individual’s who truly embrace the work. EA offers an incredible depth of insight into the psychology and evolution of the Soul. It also provides the practitioner and the client with an objective tool to understand the deepest psychological dynamics that are operative within the Soul, and how to evolve past old destructive emotional patterns that are inhibiting further growth. I use EA on a daily basis in this context, and am constantly amazed at the accuracy of this natural science.

Nina - When did you first decide you wanted to become an EA astrologer? What are your future plans?

Deva - I was 21 when I made a firm decision that I wanted to become a full time EA astrologer. I had been studying the material as a teenager, but it was never on a consistent basis. When I was 21 I began to realize that I needed to make a full-hearted commitment to learning the material, and establishing myself in the EA community. I have received a lot of help and support from those in the EA community from that time in my life. My future plans are to continue lecturing, teaching, and giving personal readings. The more practice I get the better! I am hoping to work with the younger crowd who are interested in learning Evolutionary Astrology.

Nina - What advise can you give to other young astrologers who want to create a professional career?

Deva - I have encountered many hardships and trials on this journey, but have always been given what I need to create this career through people who believed in me, and truly wanted to help me. When hardships and challenges manifest, stay self-determined and always have a positive attitude.

The intention and purpose of this article is to analyze the general evolutionary intentions – lessons of the Pluto in Libra generation – and to demonstrate how these generalized lessons of the entire generation can be given in detailed in-depth analysis by adjusting the core, essential lessons to reflect the other imperative mitigating factors in the birth chart. We will be interpreting the main, core lessons of the generation of Pluto in Libra from an evolutionary point of view.

This analysis is founded on the principles of evolutionary astrology. The other mitigating factors that are included in any interpretation of a birth chart are: The Soul’s natural evolutionary condition, or state, his or her culture at birth (cultural conditioning factors), gender, and economic status. These factors must be addressed in this article because they are essential evolutionary astrological principles. Each of these factors will condition how any individual will express the archetype of Pluto in Libra. However, the intention of this article is not to introduce or promote evolutionary astrology. The purpose of this article is to give a clear, in depth, and accurate picture of the evolutionary lessons and intentions of the Pluto in Libra generation. We will demonstrate how the evolutionary condition of the Soul will impact the interpretation of the individual’s evolutionary and karmic requirements symbolized by Pluto in Libra. The other factors, which must be included, that have been addressed can then be easily applied once the core archetype and meaning of Pluto in Libra is comprehensively understood.

Before we interpret an isolated symbol in the birth chart, especially Pluto, we must first discuss the core, underlying philosophy and methodology of evolutionary astrology. Evolutionary astrology is a natural science, based on observation and correlation. This means that astrology can only operate in an observed context. In other words, astrology cannot create life, it can only reflect it. This eliminates the gross generalization that “one size fits all.” In this article the words “Source”, and “Creator” will be used to describe what in spiritual terminology many have defined with the word God. These words simply define the Universal Creator that created every form of life on this planet.

Sun in Cancer Forecast

The solar month of Cancer (June 21 – July 22/23) initiates the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the time our ancestors celebrated the longest day of the year up north, usually with some type of fire ceremonies. The Sun is the ruler of Leo, a fire sign, and the source of life-giving energy for the vast majority of living beings. Everything is full of life – another season of babies tug at our emotions, nature is in full bloom and now we learn the meaning of family and interconnectedness through Sun in Cancer.

The Evolutionary Astrology mantra for Cancer is: I evolve emotionally with self-responsibility. Cancer, ruled by the Moon, represents the lessons of emotional self-reliance on the zodiacal wheel. As babies of mammals look to the mother for sustenance and nurturing, it allows for bonding to take place. With humans this becomes emotional bonding as well. It is one of our first understandings to realize that security can come from outside of our selves. It can create a lifetime(s) of learning to internalize this security lesson as we grow up, especially if one or both parents do not help a child learn this lesson.

Without an internalized sense of being able to take care of our own needs, we become dependent upon getting those needs met outside of self. We become dependent upon other people and circumstances to feel secure. It can be a fine line between self-reliant souls interconnecting in order to flourish better and co-dependent souls constantly looking for someone else to take care of their unmet needs.
